Unforeseen circumstances (such as a pandemic crisis) may alter our shipping & returns policy as well as how we conduct our normal business, and as such, our policies are subject to change without notice. SAFARI BILTONG takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any unforeseen changes that occur as a result of such circumstances. 

Payment

SAFARI BILTONG uses Shopify Payments to process online credit card payments. SAFARI FOODS PTY LTD will be taking payments for and on behalf of SAFARI BILTONG.

Apple Pay, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted. 

All prices are in Australian Dollars (unless marked otherwise) and are GST-inclusive.

Product Disclaimer

Ingredients list: Australian Beef, vinegar, casings, spices (may contain allergens and preservatives).

Gluten: Our products are not certified as gluten-free. 

Shelf Life: Shelf life of our Biltong, Drywors and Snapticks is variable – please refer to our storage instructions. Shelf life of our pre-packaged bags is determined by the Best Before Date on the bags (between 2 and 6 months).

Allergen and cross-contamination Disclaimer: Please be aware that our food may contain or come into contact with common allergens, such as dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, or fish. While we take steps to minimise risk, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur. Customers with severe food allergies are advised to consume our products at their own risk.

Health Notice & Consumption Warning: Our Biltong, Drywors and Snapsticks are traditional, uncooked, ready-to-eat air-dried meat products. While we strictly follow food safety management protocols to eliminate pathogens, these products carry inherent risks associated with raw cured meats. Vulnerable individuals, including pregnant women, the elderly, infants, and those with compromised immune systems, are advised to consult a healthcare professional before consuming unheated, cured meat products. Consume at your own risk.

Product Variation & Texture Disclaimer: As our products are fresh and naturally sourced, weights, sizes, and appearances may vary. Biltong, Drywors and Snapsticks are artisanal, hand-cut products. Natural variations in fat distribution, marbling, and moisture level are normal.
We will endeavour to prepare your order according to your chosen preferences; we do not issue refunds based on personal preferences regarding chewiness, moisture content, or fat ratio within your chosen preference.

Safe Storage & Handling Disclaimer: Our products are perishable and are susceptible to mould formation if not stored correctly, especially in periods or areas of high humidity. If your product is sent vacuum-sealed in plastic, upon receipt, please remove it immediately and place it in the PAPER BAGS provided. Leave the paper bags open in a well-ventilated area, preferably under a fan (not in a cupboard) to allow products to continually dry.

Wetter biltong can be kept in the fridge for short periods. In this case, allow it to warm to room temperature for the best taste! 

For pre-packaged biltong bags, once opened, the oxygen scavenger must be discarded and the biltong consumed within a reasonable period or stored in the fridge. 

We are not liable for spoilage, mould growth, or degradation caused by improper storage after delivery. Any replacement of orders is at the full discretion of SAFARI BILTONG.

Transit & Shipping Disclaimer: Dried meat is sensitive to temperature and humidity fluctuations. While we pack orders to withstand standard transit times, we cannot control carrier delays or extreme weather during delivery. For this reason, we send all of our orders vacuum-packed. If you live in a warm or humid climate, or if you are ordering "wet" biltong, we accept no liability for product degradation resulting from postal carrier delays or failure to retrieve the package from your mailbox promptly upon delivery.
